SELF LOVE

Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought, “Dang I am not enough” or “is this really what I look like? That many curves or this straight?” I completely support self-love. You hear it all the time. Everyone says “love yourself” and that’s usually it. Have you ever thought of what that means though?

Whether you’re a guy or a girl reading this, it’s clear we both struggle. And TOO much. Is it society telling you that you can’t have some certain body type? That you can’t eat this many calories in a day? That you need to workout this much to find your soulmate? Is it some girl/guy you aspire to be? Let me tell you one thing, they’re not you. Everyone thinks everyone is in it for the looks but do you know how long that lasts? Zero to maybe one night to any person. It’s so degrading when we all compare ourselves to others because there is someone meant for everyone and your personality, your soul, is what you’re here for. NOT YOUR LOOKS. Sure looks may bring you to the show but they won’t keep you until the credits ;)

Remember that. Rather you’re a guy or a girl, we all know that the heart is where it’s at

Moving on, self love is everything and I could stand next to a model right now and be completely in friend mode. No one should ever intimidate you because you have the personality to push beyond anything anyone is capable of.

Why are looks so important anyways? Why are they to you? I want you to ask yourself that right now. Sure it’s nice to be noticed but would you rather be remembered for helping others, being the light in the world, or just being a face no one really knows?

We all struggle with comparing. We all do. But it’s the realization that beauty doesn’t last forever, but the soul does that makes life a little less burdensome. It’s important to take care of yourself, but how YOU want to. Society paints this picture of beauty but no one really knows the true soul behind it and they never will if your looks are all that matters.

Remember this, love and a kind heart move more than a pretty smile that lacks a Godly heart. So with this, I pray that all of my readers truly embrace this amazing life and world we live in without losing sight of the future you were destined for. Becoming discouraged is easy but pushing passed those setbacks is beyond a challenge worth reaping. As it’s said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but beauty isn’t in a magazine pic whom the model doesn’t own and you own your own life magazine of how YOU want and need it to be. And of course, remaining the soul you were put on this earth to be.
